LIONS BOULEVARD CAMP GROUND

Public BBQ

The park on the south side of Russel Island is an idyllic spot for camping and day trips. Besides its serene and quiet setting, it offers a sandy beach and a fantastic view of the morning sunrise. The park is also an access point to other attractions such as South Stradbroke Island, Jumpinpin, North Straddie, and Couran Cove Resort. The location is well-equipped with clean toilets, BBQ areas, and a boat ramp. Visitors can also enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming. However, be mindful of the sand on the water's edge as it may get filled with water during windy conditions. Also, do not forget to carry mosquito repellents to ward off midgies and mosquitoes. The park is also known for its captivating view of the Stradbroke Island and the diverse aquatic life. Despite it being a safe spot for kids, visitors are advised to be cautious of oysters when engaging in muddy activities.
